Idegu Ojonugwa Shadrach, a Nigerian author, activist and journalist, in his recent post on Facebook, has advised troubled and challenged Nigerians to stand up for their safety.
He noted that the political and religious leaders have missed everything to help citizens at the moment.
Hence, Nigerians and the youths in particular must wake up to help one another to save the country.
He further noted that the current political class is divided and that is why Abuja has become a city of kidnappers.
He finally advised the citizens especially the youths to work on how to liberate the country from incumbent challenges.
“Nigeria is in a great mess. Everything is in total turmoil. No light, employment and security. Our political and religious leaders are not helping; and the traditional rulers are now vulnerable. This makes Nigerians’ lives so vulnerable to all attacks.
T”recent sufferings, kidnapping and killings. These are all signs of weak government. Only the Nigerians can help the present condition by building securities of all types for themselves.
“Our politicians are confused and now divided. This why Abuja has become host of kidnappers. And, this is just the beginning. Hardships have increased due to increased fuel price. No work for graduates.
“Of all these, nothing has touched our political leaders and religious leaders. And, the traditional rulers are controlled by political leaders. Then, who would now help our Nigeria? So, it is now a primary duty of Nigerians, especially youths to do the needful.
“Because, only poor citizens and youths suffer these. Why can’t the kidnappers locate all these leaders who are not working to keep Nigeria working for them? Why are the Nigerians allowing political leaders have largest shares of budget and paramountly, why not compelling government to perform?
“Why have the youths chosen crimes instead of confronting Nigeria’s evil political and religious operations? We must know that our leaders know how to end all these within a short distance. But, they have kept silence as the Nigerians are still keeping silence. So, Nigerians should now work, please.”
