*Hong Ward crowned champions

The Chairman of Hong Local Government Area of Adanawa State, Honourable Usman Inuwa Wa’aganda has praised the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod for his contributions to all round sports development in the state and Nigeria.
Honourable Inuwa expressed this, when organisers of the fifth edition of Engineer Musa Nimrod U-20 Hong LGA Soccer Tournament paid him a courtesy visit in his office on Saturday, ahead of the final of the competition.
“There is no one like you in Hong LGA. The youth are always proud of you. May God continue bless you with happiness and success in your life,” he prayed.
The LG Boss expressed excitement that the annual soccer tournament sponsored by Engineer Nimrod, which is organised by the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) is being sustained.
The organisers of the tournament as part of activities during the visit, presented a souvenir to the Chairman of Hong Local Government Area, Honourable at his office.
Meanwhile, Hong Ward emerged champions of the fifth edition.
They defeated Uba Ward by a lone goal to lift the giant trophy.
Earlier in the third place match, Thibang Ward proved to be the better side as they beat hard fighting opponents, Daksiri 1-0.
High point of the closing ceremony was the presentation of trophies and medals to players.
