Former Chieftain of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Usman Ibrahim popularly called Sardaunan Badarawa, who dumped the party was on Thursday officially received by National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.

This is just as Ganduje stressed the importance of having Sardaunan Badarawa back into APC, describing the politician as a giant shark with a heavy weight that would add political value to the ruling party in her quest for expansion and positioning to meet yearnings of Nigerians.

Hon. Usman Ibrahim was Senatorial contestant for Kaduna Central under the platform of PDP in 2023.

Ganduje, while imploring Sardaunan Badarawa to bring forth his wealth of experience to the advantage of the party, assured the grassroots politician of a fair and hospitable treatment in APC.

“You have always been a philanthropic politician with a large heart of accommodating people irrespective of their ethnic or religious background.

“Records have shown that you have touched many lives in several positive ways through your philanthropy and community development strides.

“I assure you that the party will treat you with respect and fairness so that you will be comfortable to continue with the good things you have been doing for growth and development of the society, ” he stated.

Sardaunan Badarawa in his remarks noted that he was motivated to rejoin APC due to high calibre of leaders in the party, whom he described as men of integrity and achievement.

He said the responsive style of governance displayed by President Tinubu in handling socio-economic challenges confronting the nation was enough to win many hearts of true and sincere Nigerians.

He also commended Governor Uba Sani for hitting the ground running since assumption of office in May 2023 by initiating and implementing several policies solely for growth and development of Kaduna State.

He urged Nigerians and people of Kaduna State to support APC, insisting that the party would lead the country to greater heights.
