Governor Inuwa Mourns Ahmed Alkali,  Gombe State Polytechnic Registrar

Gombe State Governor,  Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has expressed grief over the demise of the Registrar, Gombe State Polytechnic Bajoga, Ahmad Alkali, whose sad event occurred yesterday after a brief illness.

A statement signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Government House Gombe, Ismaila Uba Misilli, made available today, said that  in a message of condolence, Governor Inuwa Yahaya, who is currently performing the Lesser Hajj in Saudi Arabia, described the demise of the  Chairman of Gombe State chapter of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, NIPR as deeply painful.

He noted that Alkali was well known for his humility,  strength of character and examplary conduct,  adding that his death will leave a huge vacuum,  not only in the academic spheres by the state in general.

The Governor recalled the outstanding services and contributions of the deceased when he worked at the National Universities Commission ( NUC), the Federal University of Kashere where he rose to the position of Deputy Registrar and most recently the State Polytechnic Bajoga where he served as Registrar until his death.

Governor Inuwa added that the late Ahmed Alkali had contributed immensely to the growth and development of the academic community in FUK and Gombe State in general.

The Governor conveyed his deepest condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the entire Alkali Modibbo family, the management and staff of Gombe State State Polytechnic Bajoga, as  well as the FUK community over the great loss.

He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.
