Governor Inuwa Yahaya Pays Condolence Visit To Yobe State Over Demise Of Ex- Governor Bukar Ibrahim

Gombe State Governor and Chairman of Northern States Governors’ Forum, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON,  on Tuesday February 6, 2924,  led a delegation on a condolence visit to the government and people of Yobe State over the demise of the first civilian Governor of the State, Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim.
Sen.  Ibrahim died last Saturday in Saudi Arabia after a brief illness.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya, had earlier in a statement, on behalf of the 19 Northern Governors, extended  his  heartfelt condolences to Governor Mai Mala Buni,  Government and people of Yobe State, as well as the family and associates of the late elder statesman.
Received at the Government House, Damaturu by Governor Mai Mala Buni during the visit, Governor Inuwa Yahaya expressed his deepest sympathy over the huge loss of the man he described as a father to entire Yobe community.
“As you can see, this is Gombe State government delegation led by my humble self to identify with you on this sad moment of mourning a statesman who devoted his entire life serving the people and humanity,
He said, “the news of the demise of Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim came as a profound shock and a great loss to the us.  His legacy of service and contributions will endure in the hearts of not only the people of Yobe State,  but Nigerians as a whole.
“We share in the grief of his family and associates as well as government and people of Yobe State during this difficult time”.
Governor Inuwa prayed Almighty Allah in his infinite mercy to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.
The Governor was accompanied by Speaker, Gombe State House of Assembly, Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Luggerewo,  Deputy Speaker, Hon.  Saddam Bello, Chief of Staff Government House Abubakar Inuwa Kari, Attorney-General and Commissioners for Justice, Zubair Muhammad Umar, Commissioner of Works and Transport, Maijama’a Kallamu and his Information, Culture and Ethical Orientation counterpart,  Mijinyawa Tilde among others.
