The Partnership To Engage, Reform, Learn (PERL), has assured the OpenGov Youth Innovation Hub of more support in ensuring it is firmly rooted.
Team Lead PERL Kaduna State, Mr. Abel Adejor expressed this in his closing remarks on Saturday, as the two-day session in Zaria, organised by #OpenGov Youth Innovation Hub with support from PERL, rounded up on December 2, 2023.
Mr. Abel Adejor said he was highly delighted with the outcome of the engagement.
“We have been able to achieve this and we are very happy about it. We will continue to support the platform,” he assured.
He said that there are many accountability mechanisms in Kaduna State that engage various sectors.
” It is important you begin to identify with these accountability mechanisms.
“Go and replicate part of the things you learnt here. Thank you very much,” he said.
He also thanked the SA to Governor Uba Sani on Student Matters, Hayatu as well as those that facilitated the presentations.
He thanked all those who contributed, as well as. Mr. Jeremiah Tara from the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission, as well as the OGP Secretariat, for his commitment.
He also appreciated Abdul Bako for his support, resource persons, Head of Leadership, Governance and Advocacy Coalition of Associations for Leadership, Peace, Empowerment and Development (CALPED), Yusuf Ishaku Goje and CALPED’s Dangwa Abbas Danjuma and Emmanuel Odeh Adikpe of IHIFIX Technologies, were also appreciated.
Earlier in his remarks, Mr. Tara said that the season was interesting and educative.
He assured to take back report to the Commissioner Planning and Budget, who was excited ahead of the commencement of the session.
He personally assured the hub of his support whenever the need arises.
The two-day session began on Thursday November 30, while the sessions were held on December 1 and 2.
It featured youth between the ages of 18 to 29, resource persons and media.
