Alumni of the prestigious Federal Government College (FGC) Kwali Abuja have concluded arrangements to hold a never to be witnessed before, 30th anniversary of its class of 1993 reunion.
According to the Governor of the set, Mr. Nuhu Sani, the grand event is billed for the Kapital Club in the heart of the nation’s capital thus weekend.
According to him, graduands of their set from all over the world are expected to converge on Abuja from November 24, which is arrival date.
“Friday November 24, 2023 is the actual arrival date for this epoch event, where we will treat ourselves to a live barbeque and live band at Kapital Club Asokoro.
“Interestingly, some are already arriving as I speak, looking forward to reuniting with their mates 30 years after graduation,” he informed.
He explained that on Saturday November 25, members of the set, would be paying a condolence visit to their late Principal, Alhaji A.B . Yawa, who died days ago and was buried recently in Abuja, at his family residence.
“To unwind and catch up with lost moments, we would later same day, have a taste of nature at Jabi Lakeside, before unwinding with dinner at Kapital Club Asokoro,” he informed.
He added that, “one of the fundamental purposes of FGC Kwali Abuja Class of 1993 set réunion anniversary, is for its members to bond, network and support one another.
“It is also aimed at sustaining the spirit of ProUnitate to Nigeria, which brought us together.”
The K93 Governor called on the FG to improve the standards of all Federal Government Colleges in order to restore the confidence Nigerians have in the schools.
