Gov Abba Kabir Bids Farewell To 1st Batch Of Foreign Scholarship Beneficiaries

*Kano to set pace in producing skillful human resources for Nigeria and other countries

Amidst tears of joy from parents and relatives of beneficiaries of foreign scholarship, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in company of Sen. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso on Friday October 20, 2023, bade farewell to the first batch of 150 out of 1, 001 students who departed to India via Malam Aminu Kano International Airport.
 
Addressing the beneficiaries, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf urged them to protect the interest of Kano State Government and that of their parents by concentrating on the studies to justify the huge financial commitments made for the scheme.
 
 
According to a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa,  Alh Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed pleasure for the smooth conduct of the exercise from its inception to the point of departure, acknowledging the roles played by all the stakeholders in making the exercise a success.
 
The governor said the initiator of the programme,  Sen.  Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso has sowed a seed of monumental human capital development where skilled manpower is produced for the nation and beyond.
 
In his words at the airport,  Sen. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, tasked the departing students to be good ambassadors of Kano, Nigeria and the Kwankwasiyya Movement wherever they found themselves and remain helpful to one another during their stay in the overseas countries.
 
The NNPP 2023 flag bear maintained that the previous exercise has yielded positive results hoping that the resumption of the foreign postgraduate scheme will produce such human resources needed for the state and the nation in general.
