The Tinubu Progressives Project has congratulated Taraba-born legislative affairs strategist Prof. Jakes Danazumi on his appointment as Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the House Of Representatives Rep. Tajudeen Abbas.
Speaking to newsmen in Abuja the Director General of the group and erstwhile convener of the Progressives youths lobby group for Betara Mallam Salahuddeen Shuaib Planner described the appointee as a perfect match for the role considering his antecedents as a seasoned expert in the field of legislative governance and a distinguished scholar.
The group noted that this is the first time in the history of the country’s nascent democracy that a university don will be appointed to such an exalted position that has a significant impact on the official responsibilities of a country’s number four citizen.
Comrade Salahudeen poured encomiums on the Speaker for his foresight and hindsight in plucking Prof Danazumi out of the National Institute of Legislative and Democratic Studies NILDS where he hitherto served as Technical Assistant to the Director General.
The group further called on the new appointee to maintain the core values of dignity, probity, fairness, and accountability, which are traits he is known for in all his official responsibilities and conduct, Maintaining that the Tinubu Progressives Project, a front-line advocacy think tank and support group of the Nigerian Leader is ever willing and ready to partner with his office for National Development.
