The Harvest Family Outreach stormed the area with a free Medical Outreach.
Thousands of residents benefitted from the outreach, which was done in collaboration with in collaboration with Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA) of Nigeria on Saturday August 26.
In an interview with our correspondent, Coordinator of Harvest Family Outreach,
Chioma Rita Odili informed that the medical team at the outreach, comprised no fewer than 46 personnel.
“We had a total of 46 in the medical team, comprising 12 doctors, 13 pharmacists, six nurses, representative from health ministry and others,” she said.
Speaking further, she said, “Today’s services is basically to reach the medical needs of people in Rimau Community, which we are committed to in Kadunà State and the country entirely.”
Also speaking, the CMDA Chairman, Zaria chapter, Dr. Didamson Vonkaza, said for them as Christian doctors, their motto is, “Caring for man as a whole, spirit, soul and body”.
“For us we don’t just want to care for the whole body, we want to give total care to everyone, that is why, from time to time, cary out outreaches. We use our experience and profession in order to help. So that is our motivation, we want to ensure that everyone is complete, the whole man is taken care of, the spirit, the soul and the body.
“We are faith based organisation, that carries out several services to reach humanity. Through medical services, water services, spiritual services and educational services, in rural and urban settings, where people have challenges in various forms,” he submitted.
Also in an interview, Director, Harvest Family Outreach, Engineer Musa Nimrod said that they were there, doing a corporate social responsibility by reaching out to people.
“The benefit of this is reaching out to people. We are not just reaching out to one tribe or religion, but to everyone irrespective of religion.
“So we are reaching out, particularly now, you know, health is wealth, you know people are lacking things. We are also looking at the spiritual aspect of their lives. There should serve God, so that they can be able to do well,” he said.
