President NVBF Engineer Musa Nimrod has said that they have been crying for sponsors to come and assist in keeping their teams in shape for international competitions
He made the appeal.in Kaduna on Thursday, when spotted at the camp of Nigeria’s senior beach volleyball teams camping ahead of Africa Beach Games, at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium.
“It’s not been easy, it’s the federation keeping these players together.
“We have not stopped seeking sponsorship, out doors are still open we have written to governors, others but yet to get any,” he said.
He however, thanked God that after the camping, the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development will take over sponsorship of the team.
“We want to thank God that any moment from now, the federal ministry will take over and prepare them for Africa Beach Championship.
“We thank God for the understanding of our families that we put in personal funds into the sponsorship of the teams.
“May I use this opportunity to thank the Imo State Government for hosting Div 1 and 2 league. We want to thank Governor Hope Uzodinma for his support,” he said.
