A group, The Amalgamated of Northern Registered and de-registered Political Parties in Nigeria (ANRDPPN) has made a passionate appeal to reelected and new Senators to ensure former Zamfara State Governor, Abdulazeez Yari emerges the President of the 10th National Assembly (NASS).
They made the appeal in Kaduna on Friday June 9, 2023, at a press briefing.
Reading the text of the briefing, ANRDPPN Secretary General, Mall. Mikailu Abubakar stressed that Yari is the best man for the job to keep Nigeria united and progressive.
“We wish to call on all the Senators’ elect and all other well-meaning Nigerians to support His excellency, Sen Abdulazeez Abubakar Yari for the Nigerian Senate President of the 10TH NASS.
During the press conference held at the ANRDPPN office in Kaduna, the group insisted that Senator Yari remains the most qualified candidate for the position of the senate president.
“Yari, as a former member of House of Representatives, former governor who governed Zamfara State for good eight years and now a Senator, posseses the necessary qualifications and experience to serve as the 10th president of the Nigerian Senate,” they declared.
The group further advised the presidency not to interfere with the parliamentarian affairs.
