*Assures residents of adequate security

In a renewed vigour to ensuring safety of lives and property in Kaduna State, the acting Commissioner of Police, DCP Mamman B. Giwa has given marching orders to all Divisional Police Officers in the state, to go on the offensive towards ensuring a crime free state.
According to a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Muhammad Jalige, made available to our correspondent yesterday, to that effect, he has given marching orders that all identified black spots across the 23 local government areas be adequately kept under 24 hours surveillance, while any suspicious character spotted be apprehended and investigated.
The acting CP at a meeting with DPOs and other senior police officers of the command on Monday April 17, also warned that there will be zero tolerance for criminal activities across the state, before, during and after the upcoming Edil Fitr Sallah celebration.
DCP Mamman B. Giwa used the medium to assure all law abiding citizens in the state go about their lawful businesses, as a heavy deployment of Police personnel have been made.
