Supplementary Polls: CP Orders  Full Enforcement Of Restriction Of Movement In Parts Of Kaduna

The Commissioner of Police, CP Kolo Yusuf deployed to Kaduna State to coordinate/supervise the Election Security Management in the forthcoming Supplementary Elections in parts of Sanga, Kudan, Giwa and Kauru Local Government Areas of the State for State Assembly elections, has reassured of adequate security arrangements to all the eighteen(18) polling units where the supplementary elections will hold today  April 15, 2023.
According to a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Muhammad Jalige, made available early this morning,  the CP further reassured members of the public especially the affected areas of a water tight security, with a view to ensuring a  hitch free exercise, before, during and after the election.
On this note, the Commissioner of Police held a  pre elections security  briefing with  the command’s management team and Tactical Unit Commanders, of the Command where he  tasked them to be neutral and show high sense of professionalism in the discharge of their lawful duties, commitment and dedication towards  ensuring a peaceful atmosphere for the Elections.
He further assured that the already existing good working synergy with all security agencies is going to be sustained including  the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and all other critical stakeholders in the affected areas.
The CP has ordered for restriction of movement in areas where the supplementary elections will hold from 12 midnight to 1800hrs of saturday 15th April, 2023.
“The Command is using this medium to appeal for more support and collaboration from members of the public,” the statement said.
