The Governorship candidate of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) in Kaduna State, Hon. Hayatu Lawal Makarfi has disclosed that he would not step down or collapse his structure for any candidate in the coming gubernatorial election in the State.

Hon. Makarfi made the disclosure yesterday while addressing a press conference in Kaduna.

“I’m not stepping down for anybody, we are not going to betray the trust of our supporters and the people of Kaduna State”.

“We are here to make history after 40 years to debunk the remarks by some political party that I have stepped down, we are not stepping down for anybody. We will not betray the trust we have gained across the 23 Local Government Areas of the State.

“Being the youngest gubernatorial candidate in the State, I believe the future of the youth is now. We will run the affairs of the State with every sense of responsibility”.

“The PRP of Balarabe Musa is still the same today and I am very optimistic of winning the election”.

According to him, the youth of the State are tired of seeing old faces and they want to see new faces who can give them the desired inspiration.

He therefore called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to be fair, credible and transparent during the election.

“We have heard the plights of our people, and we assure them that if elected governor we will unite the people of Kaduna where Christians and Muslims will live together”.
