The fourth edition of the Engineer Musa Nimrod U-20 Inter Ward Soccer Competition has kicked off in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
According to the National Organising Secretary Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), Mallam AbdulRazaq Usman, the competition featuring 11 out of 12 wards of the LGA, kicked off on Saturday January 14.
On Day 1, Mayolope beat Kwarhi 3-1, while Bangshika trounced Hildi 2-0.
As the competition entered Day 2,
Gaya fell 0-2 to Hong, while
Daksiri eased past Thilbang 1-0.
The 11 wards that are fielding teams are, Mayolope, Kwarhi, Shangui, Bangshika and Hildi.
Others are, Garaha, Gaya, Hong, Husherizum, Daksiri and Thilbang.
Uba ward failed to present a team for the championship.
Day 3 Matches feature Mayolope vs Shangui (QF1) – 12:00Noon,
Bangshika vs Garaha (QF2) -1:30pm and Hong vs Husherizum (QF3) – 3:00pm.
All matches are being played at the Old Campus of the College of Education Field Hong.
The competition is sponsored by the President of Nigeria Villeyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod and organised by YSFON Adamawa State Chapter.
The competition runs from January 14 to 19 between 10am to 6pm daily.
