Yuletide: Alice Gombwer Foundation Puts Smiles On Faces Of 25 Kaduna Widows

In its quest at ensuring that the less privileged celebrate the 2022 Yuletide in an atmosphere of joy, a non governmental organisation (NGO), The Alice Gombwer Foundation (AGF) has extended gifts to 25 widows in Kaduna metropolis.
The beneficiaries were drawn from the Northern and southern axis of Kaduna metropolis, with two teams dispatched to simultaneously distribute the items to the beneficiaries on Tuesday December 20, 2022.
Team one, led by Mrs. Abigail Paul, visited  Kudendan,  where two widows benefitted, Nasarawa, one widow, Kakuri, one widow, Malali, one widow,  Uungwan Gado, one widow, Kawo, one widow,  Hanyi Banki, one widow and  Farin Gida, one widow.
Team Two was led by Joseph Paul Gombwer and they traversed
Gonin-Gora,  where three widows benefitted,  Romi New Extension, two widows, Barnawa, one widow,
Ungwan  Sunday, one widow,
Gbagyi Villa, one widow,  Sabon Tasha, one widow, Ungwan Matari, one widow, Ungwan Gimbia, one widow, Sabo GRA, one widow,
Ungwa Boro, one widow, Kamazou, one widow and Karji was the last destination, with two widows benefitting.
In his remarks before they departed on the distribution, Joseph Paul Gombwer who is a board member of the AGF said, “Good Morning fellow AGF members/volunteers, hoping that we all had a great night rest.
“To the glory of God, the long awaiting day has come. Just as I mentioned in my earlier remarks, that it might be difficult to tour around with everybody, so we are pleading that we should contact the person coordinating each team to know when the team is in your area so you can join them in doing the presentation.
 “I wish the various teams and the entire AGF members/volunteers successful outing and May God reward every of our various sacrifices and commitment. Thank You.’
Joseph Gombwer after the exercise, told our correspondent that the distribution lasted for about eight hours, starting in the morning and ending around 5pm.
“It’s not long we got home.
We thank God for a successful outreach today. I want to also say a big thank you to everyone that made out time to join in the outreach today. To those that joined us in the spirit, I say Thank you.
“To everyone that contributed both in cash and kind, I say thank you.
Most especially,  to our Founder and CEO, Sati Paul Gombwer,  we appreciate your large heart and we are saying thank you. May God reward everyone bountifully and may we partake in the blessings associated with caring for widows.
All the beneficiaries in their response, appreciated AGF for the gesture, while praying to God for more open doors to those that contributed to the project
One of the beneficiaries, simply refered to as Mama Jessy in excitement,  appreciated the foundation, and prayed, showering lengthy blessings on AGF and it’s volunteers.
It was gathered that the AGF board members and volunteers, inspired by the founder/CEO made donations towards the outreach.
Items distributed included bags of rice, live chicken, vegetable oil, branded t-shirts and spices to each of the 25 widows.
The foundation embarks on similar outreach annually, as well as sporting competitions, particularly football and basketball.
