The Chief Servant of Association of Catholic Trained Evangelizers of Nigeria (ACTEN) and the Chairman, Worship Committee of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, Ahmadu Bello University, (ABU), Zaria, Evang PC Alika retired as the Chief Technologist at the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering where he served for thirty-four years.
Thanking God for clocking sixty-five years of age and for a successful retirement at the Sunday Mass of Sunday, 20th March, 2022, Evang Alika was accompanied to his residence by family members, associates, friends and well-wishers where he narrated his journey so far.

So, that’s my story. Jerry my first son came and I love him so much. I was so attached to him because he came first. I never allowed his legs to touch the ground and he was anywhere I was. That was how I became popular in St Mary’s Catholic Church, Samaru, because if we are marching in the choir, he would march with us.

So, that’s how we have been. Four of them and I have the best family that God has ever made. None of them, from my wife to the children has given us cause to get hypertension. We never have the cause to run to the police station. What else can I say to God?”

He paid special tribute to his late uncle, Prof. C.A. Okuofu whom God used to pilot the affairs of his life. He equally nudged those in service and those still struggling to make both end meet to remain steadfast in God assuring them that the same God who saw her through will not disappoint them.
