Osinachi would have spoken to the elders in both families – Women Leader

The President of Catholic Women Organization (CWO) of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Dr. (Mrs.) Rose Illah has called on married women to seek help if their lives are in danger. She made this call in the parish at the pre-mothering Sunday program which took place on Saturday, 16th 2022 with the theme ‘Catholic Women as the Hearts of the Homes.’
Reacting to the death of the well-known Gospel Singer, Mrs. Osinachi Nwachukwu, the president empathized with victims of domestic violence urging them to run for their lives whenever the need arises.
“Some women have cried out and some are crying in their closets.” Dr. Illah observed. “If you take a look at what is happening in the country, you will discover that many women are crying. Osinachi would have spoken to the elders in both families. Women, please when the man is coming with ‘bulala,’ run for your life first. Don’t stand and challenge him. You must run and take cover first, so that you can apologize if you are wrong. And if the man is wrong, he willed be blamed and he will apologize. Let us use wisdom on this. The man is the head of the family but there should be a place for dialogue.”
“Our hearts must beat properly to enjoy the proceeds. It is not easy but let our hearts beat properly accordingly. We pray that one day, the leadership of this country will be in the hands of a woman and probably whatever that is hidden that is making the heart of women not to beat properly and that is translating into a bad heartbeat for the children will be taken care of.”
Cautioning against using Osinachi’s case as a reason to disintegrate families unnecessarily, she further reminded them of the teachers that they are to their families and the society and prayed that they enjoy the fruits of their hard labours.
