Terrorists suspected to be Fulani militia have launch yet another daring attack on Gwantu Kurmi Community, the headquarters of Sanga Local Government Area of state where the deputy governor of Kaduna belongs.
During the attack, the terrorists kidnapped a student of the Kaduna State University, and a passersby while one other person sustained injury from gunshot.

President of Gwantu People’s Progressive Union, Prince Bala Audu who confirmed the incident to the on Monday, said Joshua Victor Arumbus of the Department of Architecture, Kaduna State University and a passersby Mr. Simon were kidnapped while one person was critically injured.

According to Bala, the armed men invaded the community on Saturday at around 9:13pm on foot and started shooting indiscriminately at the residents.

Recalled that sometimes in August 2021, the Son of the administrative officer to the President Alhaji Sanusi Maikano and the Son of the District Head of Gwantu, Alhaji Boni Bashir were kidnapped in Gwantu.

But Bala who decried the increasing incidences of Kidnapping within Sanga Local Government Called on the Security agencies to improve on their response to distress calls from the communities.

“It is most unfortunate that this incident happened just half a kilometer away from the Gwantu Police Divisional Headquarters and the Headquarters of the Operation Safe Haven in Gwantu,”, Bala said.

He therefore called on Kaduna State Government to take drastic measures in curtailing the security menace ravaging the State.

Bala also urged the Local Government to form a local task force in each Community within the Local Government Area that will use any available legal means in defending themselves since they have been experiencing the ugly incidence. End.
