Do you know what you have?

That the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.”
Philemon 1:6 NKJV

It is very common to hear people complain and speak about what they lack or don’t have. It’s the real reason our prayer service is more of asking than thanksgiving.
Until we have an accurate knowledge of what we have in Christ, the sharing of our faith won’t be effective, neither will we be joyful in our Christian walk in this life.

We can only bless people with what we have and not with what we don’t have.

So God said to Abraham:
“I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.” Genesis 12:2 NKJV

Blessed to be a blessing.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
II Corinthians 1:3‭-‬4 NKJV

Comforting others with the same comfort received.

Apostle Peter identified what he didn’t have and shared with the lame man what he had:
“Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
Acts 3:6 NKJV

When Prophet Elisha asked the widow what she had in her house, she said nothing except a jar of oil, yet that’s all she needed to have a miracle of supply of what she needed to sustain her life.
“So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”
II Kings 4:2 NKJV

Now, the question is:
“Do you know what you have?

If we neglect the reading and studying of the Bible as well as neglect where the Bible is properly taught we can’t know who we are, what we have and what God can do through us.
This is because the Bible is given to us to know God and ourselves through the knowledge of Christ Jesus as revealed therein.
SHALOM!
