Breaking: Many killed, injured, kidnapped as bandits attack Churches in Kaduna

Many have been reportedly killed, injured and kidnapped by armed bandits in fresh brutal attacks in Gwagwada community, Chikun local government area of Kaduna State.

The bandits allegedly stormed two churches including a Baptist at a place called Lukuru village and a white garments Church at Gwagwada road in the wile hours of Wednesday, and started shooting sporadically.

According to eyewitness source who spoke to our Correspondent, two persons were allegedly killed instantly during the attack while many others sustained various degrees of injury and others also kidnapped.

One of the Churches was reportedly raised down by the heavily armed bandts who invaded the area during the hour of the attacks on the churches.

A sources also stated the incident occurred early in the morning at Mahu village in Gwagwada ward in the Local Government Area of State.

A resident said that one of the Churches was completely raised down during the invasion and attaked by bandits.

Former Secretary of the Gbagyi Youths Association, Abashe Dauda, who also confirmed the incident said “The bandits have attacked Mahu village, a community before Bakin Kasuwa along Gwagwada road in Chikun Local Government area of Kaduna State just a while ago.

“Workers of Tanadi Water Company Dutse were also kidnapped and they are mostly resident of Dutse community. A Church was burnt while food items were looted,. Properties also destroyed in the attacks” he said.
Contacted, Kaduna Police Command spokesman Muhammad Jalige was yet to confirmed the incident, sources said many casualties of unknown number of kidnapped person were recorded, while many others were also killed in the attack.

The youths of the area have reportedly assembled in hall after the attack to discuss the on way out.
