National Youth Alliance President Gives Approval For Composition Of Zonal, State Exco

The National Chairman/Youth President of the National Youth Alliance (NYA), Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas has given a nod to directors to compose interim .zonal and state executive committees across the country.

This was conveyed via a memo signed by the National Secretary, NYA, Hon. Tamunotonye Inioribo (Tonye Barcanista), dated May 23, 2024.

A statement signed by the SA Media and Publicity to the NYA National Chairman, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, made available on Thursday May 24, 2024 to newsmen in Kaduna, informed that the approval for the following was given

1. Composition of interim Zonal Executive Committee:

– Zonal Director – Chairman

– Zonal Secretary

– Zonal Publicity Secretary

– Zonal Woman Leader

– Zonal Youth Leader

– All State Directors from the zone

2. Composition of Interim State Executive Committee:

– State Director – Chairman

– State Deputy Director

– State Secretary

– State Legal Adviser

– State Publicity Secretary

– State Woman Leader

– State Youth Leader

– State Financial Secretary

– State Treasurer

– Assistant State Directors (Senatorial Districts Coordinators)

– Any other positions deemed necessary

3. Appointment of Local Government Coordinators:

– Local Government Coordinators shall be appointed in each Local Government Area

– They shall be responsible for coordinating the activities of the organization at the local government level

The memo said that in constituting their respective executives, they are expected to,

“Consult with other zonal and state officials, as well as national stakeholders from the concerned area, to ensure a seamless working relationship across board.

“Ensure that the constitution of the executives and appointment of coordinators are inclusive and representative of gender, ethnic, and religious makeup, in accordance with the principles of diversity and inclusion,” it said.
