While announcing that it’s 2023 Annual Congress will hold on December 29 at the prestigious Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna, the Coach Felix Academics and Sports Foundation (CFASF) is excited by the successes recorded so far this year.
CFASF founder, Coach Felix Oseibe expressed this in a statement made available to our correspondent yesterday.
“As preparations are well underway for next season, we take a look back at how the CFASF fared in 2023.
“This year has been eventful from the word go with a wide range of activities.
“Both athletes and management have been kept busy with lots of quality training sessions, competitions and programs,” he said.
According to him, while they are always proud of the CFASF Annual Congress, they are particularly proud that this year, because of the extraordinary sacrifice, perseverance and achievement demonstrated by their athletes, individuals, parents, partners and organizations throughout to the foundation in 2023, they also want to say a big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of our programs all through 2023.
“As part of CFASF mission; “Create and maintain a culture that encourages family and community involvement”.
“Throughout the world, thousands of children are kept in orphanages. We had planned this year to help them selflessly to make their lives better which eventually satiate our soul and gives us a sense of fulfillment. We must prove to be a part of the betterment of society.
“We started with a visit in February 14th this year to Adonai Orphanage Home to share love and spend some time with the them,” Coach Felix explained.
He stressed that over the period, they noticed the young children in the orphanages are deprived with the ability to showcase their talents in athletics.
“They too hold a part of our future generations in the sports,” he added.
According to him, helping them in any way to stardom, gives a sparkle of achievement in the eyes of those children and confidence to themselves in order to make their life worthwhile.
“That is why CFASF decided to include the Orphanage Talent Hunt in the Annual Congress,” he added.
According to him, the 7th edition of the CFASF Annual Congress which will be taking place on Friday December 29, 2022 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna State by 10am, will feature events ranging from the Orphanage Talent Hunt of 100m and 4×100m.
He added, “The men’s and women’s are expected to compete in 600m, 150m and 4×100m. Awards presentation across all categories and a specific award to outstanding athletes and coaches who have done well in contributing their own quota towards the growth and development of humanity in the state”.
Coach Felix said that the event will also feature notable speakers, sharing their experience with the orphans and athletes and also encouraging them ahead the coming season.
“Princess Mabel Madojiemu (All African Games Gold Medalist) is the Matron of the foundation, while Mr and Mrs Samuel Onikeku will be the special guests of honour.
“Hon. Idris Dibis the SA on Sports to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Sen. Uba Sani will also serve as special guest of honour,” he informed.
According to him, the event will be under the Chairmanship of Eng. Musa Nimrod (President, Nigeria Volleyball Federation).
“It will be powered by Stardom Sports Academy Ltd, MicroManna Computers Limited, The Cavendish School, MA Athletics, Teworh Foundation and Enviplan International Limited.
“To be part of this year’s success, our doors are opened!” He declared.
