As Nigeria marks the 2023 Democracy Day, the Tsaunin Kura GRA Residents Association (Sabo GRA), Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State has extended warm greetings to its elected political leaders, covering its constituency.
This was contained in a statement signed by Sabo GRA Executive Public Relations Officer, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, dated Monday June 12, 2023.
“Tsaunin Kura GRA Residents Association (Sabo GRA) at its general congress held on June 12, presided over by its President General, Dr. Danjuma Sale in its resolution, deemed it important to congratulate all elected political office holders covering its constituency on this important day as Nigeria’s democracy deepens.
“We therefore, congratulate our Governor, Senator Uba Sani, Senator-elect for Kaduna Central, Lawal Adamu, Member-elect for Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams and Member-elect for Chikun Constituency for Kaduna State House of Assembly, Honourable Garba Madami,” the statement said.
The community used the opportunity to remind the political leaders to give their area the needed infrastructure.
“While congratulating you all, use this medium in appealing for dividends of democracy, which have eluded our area in the past.
“A visit to our community this rainy season, leaves the visitor wondering why such a well planned layout is left abandoned without motorable roads, drainages and other key infrastructure.
“We therefore, appeal for immediate intervention especially on roads and drainages,” the statement said.
The President General Dr. Sale earlier during the congress, reminded residents that Sabo GRA is not supporting any particular political party, hence remains apolitical, with support base from all the major parties found in the community.
The community also congratulated all other political office holders resident in Sabo GRA.
