The group expressed this at a press briefing in Kaduna yesterday.
Reading the text of the briefing, Chairman of Kaduna APC Integrity Movement, Mal. Jibril Adamu Size insists that no amount of intimidation will change the decision of the electorate who massively voted Uba Sani.
“We are calling on security agencies to take foreseeing measures in bringing the perpetrators of wrongdoers to book.
“We implore well-meaning people of Kaduna to remain calm and focused, Mal. Uba Sani is the Governor they elected, and no amount of intimidation will temper the overwhelming decision of the majority,” the group said.
Speaking further, they explained that as a gathering of young, devoted professionals dedicated to the growth of their party and the doctrine of good governance steered by democratic values, they desire to capitalize on the medium to recognize and appreciate the good people of Kaduna State for coming out massively to support and vote for APC in the last elections, a gesture they assured, the Governor-elect will surely repay with democratic gains, irrespective of the voting pattern.
“Voting for Distinguished Senator Malam Uba Sani as the next Governor of Kaduna State is the true reflection of the will and stake of the voters, knowing his antecedent fully as one of the most active, productive and articulate representatives of his people.
“We also want to note the effort of INEC in conducting one of the most peaceful, free, fair and credible elections in our nation’s political history; we also urge INEC to know that its reputation is rated high with no reputational crisis.
“We wish to once again reassure the public of our genuine responsibility as young professionals to encourage continuity to improve growth/development and to also go against any attempt to denounce the noble effort of the Kaduna people in promoting consolidation,” they said.
According to them, “as subscribers to el-Rufai developmental school of thought, we will continue to nurture and support the blueprint of Malam Uba Sani for sustainable political development and economic growth.
“We are confident and optimistic that Kaduna State, under the leadership of Senator Mal. Uba Sani, will continue to build on the good legacies and achievements of our leader Mal. Nasiru el-Rufai, whose impact will forever be admired by the good people of Kaduna State”.
