As all eyes are on Supreme Court for final verdict on the lingering legal tussle emanating from People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Kaduna Central primary election, a group known as Emancipators Of Democracy and Entrenchers Of Good Governance has called for dispensation of justice.

In a press statement signed by the secretary Comrade Timothy Daniel, action of PDP for going to Supreme Court to seek interpretation and justice was commended just as the group threw its weight behind the candidature of Hon. Usman Ibrahim known as Sardaunan Badarawa, saying the senatorial hopeful should be by all regulations the authentic flag bearer of the party in 2023 general election.

Daniel said the challenger of Sardaunan Badarawa, Lawal Adamu popularly called Mr. LA had no reason in the first place to appeal his loss of a primary election conducted in accordance with party regulations, Electoral Acts and above all, the Constitution.

“Proper conduct of a primary election is a ‘sine qua non’ in a democratic democracy. Let me point out categorically that, if the primary election is not properly handled, the loss of a party springs from the conduct of a primary election.

“This explains why the aggrieved aspirant of the KADUNA CENTRAL Senatorial District previously conducted Primary Election decided via his lawyers to write to the People’s Democratic Party constituted Appeal Panel Headquarters in Abuja, his letter of COMPLAINT over the Primary Election that was questionably took place that was being smeared and spoiled with over-voting.

“PDP, both National and that of State Chapter decided to declare the said PRIMARY ELECTION inconclusive due to irregularities.

“By what is obtained and attained in the 2nd primary election being asked to be conducted by the Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna, Sardaunan Badarawa is the genuine candidate as far as both the P D P as a party and that of INEC are concerned.

“We are soliciting and appealing to the Supreme Court to let the justices peruse the history of the case in question before them, by going through the nitty gritty of the case, they will ascertain that, Usman Ibrahim, right from the onset should be the actual ticket holder of the party.

“The Appeal Court Ruling was a mere declaration devoid of any order of enforcement.

“We as the Democrats in the Kaduna Central Senatorial District are once more appealing to the legal luminaries in the Supreme Court to look inwardly and deeply into both the two offered Judgements from the one offered in the trial court and that of Appeal in order to pinpoint what triggered and pushed to the legal tussle.

“Hopefully, we as the ardent admirers and supporters of Usman Ibrahim, that, he will emerge victorious on Friday February 17 at the apex court, “he said.
