A support group of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) on the aegis of 19 Northern States Movement For Kashim Shettima has promised to mobilise 16 million votes for the Presidential candidate of the ruling party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The group, however said that Shettima choice as running mate is the best thing that will give APC victory.
The Director General (DG) of 19 Northern States Movement For Kashim Shettima, Abubakar Aliyu stated this on Saturday during the issuances of certificates to 1646 organizations who indicated interest to mobilise support for Shettima.
“People came from the whole of 19 northern States becomes they believe in Shettima. Tinubu made a wise decision by choosing Shettima , by Grace of God because of the love we have for Shettima we are going to give Tinubu 16 million votes across the 19 northern States”.
“We are in Kaduna and we have selected 1.5 million people to campaign for Tinubu/Shettima, they are going to embark on house to house campaign. With this our movement Shettima alone is going to deliver the whole of 19 northern states for Tinubu”.
“We want Tinubu to succeed that is why we will continue to tell our people the truth; when you vote Tinubu, you vote Shettima. We are sensitizing women and men, we have kick started the campaign here in Kaduna”.
According to DG, the movement was not sponsored by any politician, it is out of passion and love for Shettima.
“We are doing all this with our money , nobody gave us money, we are doing it for the love we have for Shettima. We have started here in Kaduna”.
Aliyu reiterated that the movement are going to embark on door to door campaign in order to sensitize people on the need to vote for APC, he said.
“Our organization is most powerful and most united in the 19 northern States, I the DG I promise Tinubu not to do campaign again in the north because of Shettima, we are going to deliver the north for him because of the love we have for Shettima”.
