Remove Unfit Vehicles From Abuja Roads – Shehu Wada Adamu Charge Vehicle Operators

Following observations and request to remove rickety vehicles on Abuja, the Senior special Assistant to the FCT Minister on monitoring, inspection and enforcement Mr Attah Ihkaro and the Directorate of road Transport Service DRTS Taskforce Abuja Mr. Shehu Maiwada Adamu have called on all operators of rickety vehicles to take the vehicles off Abuja Roads.

They made the call while briefing Newsmen during a joint taskforce special operation involving security agencies in Abuja.

According to them over 40 rickety vehicles have been impounded for causing traffic nuisance on varoius offences ranging from damaged headlights, damaged glasses, winscreen, fenders and realights as well as those emitting thick black smoke from the rear exhaust, noting that such vehicles not only pose a danger to the road users but also human health.
