Governorship hopeful of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Kaduna state, Hon. Isa Mohammad Ashiru has reiterated his determination to prioritized the welfare of the people of Kaduna state if emerged victorious in 2023, in line with the constitution.
He also promised to ensure equal development and treatment in the three senatorial zones of the state as a prelude to harmonious and peaceful coexistence among various inhabitants of the state.

Hon. Ashiru made the remarks in an interview after his victory in court over the alleged fake certificate suit filed against him in high court on Tuesday, as court also ordered the plaintiff to pay him the sum of N1 million for damages the allegation had done to his reputation.
Ashiru also noted that it’s the tradition of PDP to treat people and zones equally, adding that women would also be given adequate representation in PDP government as usual and correct all the wrongs and atrocities perpetrated against the state.

On the court judgment’s victory, he said it was a cleared case of attempted witch -hunting and diversion by political opponents feeling uncomfortable with his rising profile and popularity ahead 2023 election.
“I know from the unset that I don’t have any problem with my academic records to warrant somebody dragging me to court. But I just have to allow it and follow the part of rule of law, even though I knew they’ve no evidence to prove their allegation.
“And like what the judgment delivered by a court of competent jurisdiction stated, it was frivolity of the highest order that could not be substantiated, and cannot be’, he said.
Recalled that Justice Kabir Dabo of the Kaduna State High Court 1 Dogarawa-Zaria, Kaduna state, on Monday May 9 2023 dismissed the suit filed by one Abdullahi Isa, member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in which he challenged the genuineness of the academic qualifications of the party’s leading Gubernatorial Aspirant in Kaduna State, Right Honourable Isa Mohammed Ashiru.
He also ordered the plaintiff to pay the sum of One Million Naira to the defendant for the damages that the allegation had done to his reputation.
In the lengthy judgment, Justice Dabo described as frivolous the claim by the plaintiff that Ashiru was in possession of fake academic qualifications.
According to him, by informing the court that he made the allegation on the basis of a statement made by one Professor Mohammed Sani Bello, Mainan Zazzau, the plaintiff had woefully failed to meet the requirement of the law with regards to the substantiation of such a claim, adding that “speculation has no place in law”.
