It has been laid to rest the many questions, pressure, and demands on the former Governor of Adamawa state, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow whether he will contest the 2023 governorship seat of the state.

The popular Amidu Galadima way or Bank road became busy today as thousands of All Progressives Congress, APC, supporters, and loyalists of the immediate past Governor of the state thronged the State’s party (APC) Secretariat as he made his intentions known to join the gubernatorial race.

Jibrilla was praised all through to remaining the APC pioneer Governor of Adamawa who placed the state on the threshold of development.

The former and the Governor in waiting, according to Senator Binta Masi Garba said has been a Man synonymous with development in the state, and the best they can is to bring him back in 2023 for continuity.

She said APC is the moving train of salvation and it has crossed up its cracks of division and is set to chart a new course of taking over power from PDP.

According to her, the party used its strength and power to destroy the party by bringing in the present Government of PPD under the leadership of Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in 2019.

The formal declaration of Jibrilla to join the guber again brought together Senators, Representatives members, former speakers, serving and former State’s House of Assembly, commissioners, aides who served under his regime, and politicians who are his staunchest loyalists.

The Many goodwill messages by many have described Umaru to have an impeccable record of service delivery to the people of Adamawa State and his interest to contest again is a welcome idea.

“Bindow has worked and every aspirant should work around him to build a vibrant Adamawa under APC government again,” Binta said

While declaring his interest Umaru said on behalf of myself and family, supporters, and all well-wishers that I’m formally here to let you know that I will contest for the second term.

Umaru said all the aspirants are most qualified and respect all of them, but he is soliciting and begging for their support in 2023 as he has only one term to complete his second tenure.

He said his passion to serve Adamawa is still burning and remain his cardinal agenda in 2023.

Recalled how he constructed 397 roads, built 100 years neglected bridge, and constructed a road to link up the only local government without a tarred road in the country.

The former Governor at the declaration picked Engr Martins Ahmed Babale to be his running mate.

He took time and appreciated the past support enjoyed by the people of the state and crave multiple the support by rallying around him to win again.

“I’m please calling my APC officials, my Brother who is also aspiring to come and join me in working for the people of the state. I’m having only four years term to serve again.” Bindow

In his nature as a man of humility, who is down to earth in all he does, pleaded for forgiveness in the course of his past leadership.

“I’m a human being, I’m bound to fail and make many mistakes, I’m begging for your forgiveness anywhere I have erred or wrongly discharged my duties to course ill feel.

” The people of Adamawa state, please forgive me, forgive my Deputy Governor, Martins we need your forgiveness,” Bindow said
