The National Groundnut Producers, Processors Marketing Association of Nigeria has a newly elected National Executive.
The election which took place on Wednesday, January,20 2020, at the Winners Lab Garden opposite Corinthian Hotel, Garki Abuja , saw the emergence of Alhaji Hussaini Danbirni Jibril as the National President of NGROPPMAN, while Mustapha Muhammad emerged as the National Secretary .
Speaking shorting after his victory , Alhaji Danbirni, said he has accepted the challenges imposed on as the President-Elect and he is ready to carry everyone along in the journey to make NGROPPMAN great .
I want to assure you that my administration is ever ready and well prepared to move this association forward
By the grace of God, this 2021, NGROPPMAN among the few associations that would be given approval by the Central Bank for Anchor Borrowers Scheme
I urge everyone to give his maximum support , he added.
In his acceptance speech, Alhaji Mustapha Muhammad gave an insight to how the newly elected body intend to lift NGROPPMAN forward.
We have been discussing with Dantata Group of Company for about a year ago.
We have also signed a memorandum of Understanding with the company of placing value on groundnuts.
He then promised that all those associated with NGROPPMAN would be fully involved and their professional skills would be harnessed to make sure Nigeria becomes a great groundnut producing country again.
The election which produced Alhaji Danbirni as the National President had 120 votes from each state of the Federal with each state producing 3 votes each.
However, a total vote of 120 was cast, 24 votes were invalidated and 96 were counted to produce the winner .
