The executive chairman of Jema’a Local Government Area in Kaduna State, Hon. Peter Tanko, has applauded an APC youth stakeholder, Hon. Haruna Daniel Rex, for constructing solar boreholes worth approximately 20 million Naira in Kafanchan.
The chairman gave the commendation on Friday in Kafanchan, after commissioning one of the solar boreholes with a 12,000 litres overhead tank at Federation community in Maigizo Ward.
Hon. Tanko who said sustainable clean water is one of the focus of the Uba Sani administration, praised the contributions of Hon. Haruna Daniel Rex to the development of communities in the LGA.
He was full of praises for the APC youth stakeholder for dedicating his resources, time and energy to support government efforts to alleviate the problem of water shortage in the community, promising that the local government plan to drill boreholes to provide clean drinkable water in many communities inline with the sustainable development goals agenda.
“What I have seen today gladdens my heart. That a youth will commit his resources for water projects in our local government is something good. Therefore, I wish to sincerely thank Haruna Daniel Rex for the construction of the solar borehole here in Federation community in Maigizo ward.
“The Uba Sani administration is keen on providing accessable drinking water to rural communities and Jema’a local government is not resting on its oars to achieving this mandate,” he said.
Hon. Tanko urged good spirited APC members to support government efforts saying southern kaduna has already embraced APC.
Also speaking, Hon Ado Dogo the Counsellor political affairs to the governor, praised Haruna Daniel Rex for such laudable projects. He said government is looking out for party men like him to work with for the actualisation of promises to people. He urged the chairman to initiate more projects especially the road leading to the community.
Speaking of the projects, Hon Haruna Daniel Rex said he was motivated by Governor Uba Sani’s inroads into the senatorial zone and the many development projects he has brought to the people.
He said the solar boreholes are his contributions to the APC government to draw more members to the party for the governor’s 2027 victory.
“Our dear governor and his positive works are the inspiration and motivation behind this solar boreholes in Federation and Takau communities. The one in Takau will soon be completed,” he stated.
Continuing, Rex said: “Today in southern Kaduna the APC has no opposition but alliances of like minds because of the fair and humane governance style of his excellency, Governor Uba Sani encapsulated in the 2025 budget titled: “rural transformation and inclusive development”.
The APC youth stakeholder encouraged people to support the administration of Uba Sani, saying “having shown and expressed capacity, compassion and politics devoid of bitterness the governor should be supported.”
Maigizo Ward APC chairman Abednego Yakunat, expressed satisfaction with the work done and praised Hon. Haruna Daniel Rex for putting smiles on the faces of residents of Federation and Takau communities, promising to mobilise electorates for the party. He said with the newly drilled boreholes, “you could see women and children are very happy.”
A community leader, Francis Markson said the borehole would make the community lively again and promised to organised the youths to safeguard the borehole.
Federation community is the host community of the local government secretariat but has suffered deplorable water scarcity over the years.
Dignitaries at the event included, the local government vice chairman, Hon. Moses Emmanuel Utung, Secretary of the LGA, Danbala; Speaker, Muhammed Ishafo; Lifida Jema’a, Bashir Idris, and many party loyalists.
