The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation (SABMF) has concluded arrangements for an all-Stakeholders Roundtable on Northern Nigeria Youth Development, scheduled to take place on November 19 and 20, 2024.
A statement signed by SABMF Director-General, Engr Dr Abubakar Gambo Umar, dated Friday November 8, 2024, said that this significant event aims to bring together key stakeholders to address the pressing challenges faced by the youth in Northern Nigeria and to explore sustainable pathways for their development.
The statement emphasized the importance of this gathering, which will feature a compelling Keynote Speech entitled “Empowering the Next Generation: Strategies for Sustainable Youth Development in Northern Nigeria.” This speech aims to set the tone for two days of in-depth discussions and collaborative efforts.
Following the keynote address, the Roundtable will host several Panel Discussions covering critical topics, including:
– Understanding the Causes of Youth Discontent: Their Challenges and Aspirations
– Stakeholders’ Roles and Responsibilities in Youth Development
– Entrepreneurship Education as a Pathway to Youth Economic Empowerment
– Empowering Youth through Agricultural Entrepreneurship in Northern Nigeria
“Esteemed and seasoned experts will serve as panelists, bringing their insights and experiences to the table as they discuss these vital topics and proffer actionable solutions. In addition, issues concerning the economic potentials and security of Northern Nigeria will also be addressed, ensuring a holistic approach to youth development.
“The event is expected to attract a distinguished audience, including Mr. President, the Vice President, Governors, the Speaker and members of the National Assembly, alongside other prominent Nigerians. The spectrum of Northern youth from various groups will also be in attendance, providing a platform for diverse voices and perspectives,” it informed.
It assured that the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation is committed to fostering dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders to empower the youth of Northern Nigeria, ensuring a brighter and more sustainable future for all.
