The Zamfara State Government has restated its commitment towards promoting health care delivery in the state.
The Director-General Media and Communications to Gov Dauda Lawal, Malam Nuhu Anka stated this while leading the media tour for inspection of the ongoing health facility projects across the state.
The Director General was accompanied by the Senior Special Assistants to the Governor on Broadcast Media and Social Media, Mustafa Jafaru Kaura and Mugira Yusuf respectively.
The media team inspected ongoing remodeling and equipping projects at Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital Gusau.
Other projects visited were ongoing expansion and equipping projects at King Fahad Hospital Gusau and Farida General Hospital Gusau.
Addressing newsmen after the inspection tour, Anka said that the state government embarked on total renovation and upgrading of health care facilities across the state.
“This is inline with the state government’s declaration of emergency on health sector.
“You know, earlier this year, Gov Dauda Lawal has declared a state of emergency on the health sector with a commitment to revamping the state’s healthcare system.
“You know, following the declaration, the state government will improve standard of all through massive infrastructural development,” Anka said
“Gov Dauda Lawal will ensure supply of all the necessary equipments and essential medicines supplied to all,” he added.
Anka who expressed satisfaction with the quality of various projects inspected and urged contractors to comply contractual agreement.
“I commend the effort of contractors for ensuring quality and standard project.
“Though, I am not a professional in building and engineering professions, but based on what I have seen today, I am very satisfied.
“The quality of jobs from the three facilities we have visited so far are commendable,” he explained.
The Director General also called on the contractors to justify the public funds given to them for the projects,”.
He noted that the state Government under Gov Dauda Lawal under its rescue mission policy committed to provide more dividend of democracy to the people of the state.
“I am appealing to good people of Zamfara to continue pray for the present administration to restore sustainable peace and stability in the state,” Anka added.
In their separate remarks, the representatives of the contractors handling the projects promised quality jobs and timely completion of the projects.
