All Northern Youths Forum has warned youth against participating in the proposed planned protests tomorrow October 1.
The forum advocated peaceful celebrations of Nigeria’s independence tomorrow Tuesday October 1, 2024.
The Secretary of All Northern Youths Forum, Nuhu Sani Lere gave the warning in a statement made available to journalists in Kaduna.
“We believe that our strength lies in our unity and that celebrating our independence is a powerful reminder of our shared values and aspirations as a nation,” he said.
“We call on all youths and women to join us in commemorating this important day, rather than engaging in divisive protests that may undermine our collective progress,” the group said.
The Secretary of All Northern Youths Forum said that All Northern Youths Forum convened an emergency meeting today, bringing together various leaders and affiliates to address pressing national issues, particularly focusing on security and good governance.
The meeting highlighted the collective commitment of northern youth leaders to the unity and stability of Nigeria.
During the discussions, the Forum commended the current administration for its ongoing efforts to tackle security challenges, especially in the northwest region.
The leaders acknowledged the strides made in improving safety and security, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration between the government and the youth in fostering a secure environment for all citizens.
In light of the current socio-political climate, the Forum unanimously called upon the youth of Nigeria to prioritize the unity of the country.
The All Northern Youths Forum remains committed to promoting peace, security, and good governance across the nation.
