The Tom Garba Foundation, a social responsibility initiative of TGNews, on Saturday, organized a seminar for undergraduate students at Kaduna State University (KASU).

The event, themed, “Education, Skills, and Entrepreneurship: A Catalyst for Building the Next Generation of Leaders,” is aimed at inspiring and equipping students with the necessary tools to become future leaders.

In his opening remarks, Tom Garba, founder of the foundation and Publisher of the Tgnews, urged students to look beyond their current status and envision themselves as future governors, senators, and business leaders.

He emphasized the importance of developing valuable skills rather than relying solely on academic degrees. Garba encouraged students to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset, focusing on building themselves to be relevant in their chosen fields.

The keynote speaker, Enoch Nalado, delivered a thought-provoking presentation that resonated with the audience.

According to Mr. Nalado, the first disease to be cured is low self-esteem.

He encouraged students to have high self-esteem and build networks amongst themselves, sharing a personal story of how he started his consulting firm while still an undergraduate and earned millions through connections from his network.

He emphasized the importance of building networks, having self-esteem, and skills that will work for them even after graduation, without resorting to searching for jobs.

Dr. Yusuf Shamagana was the second speaker at the event.

Students engaged actively, asking questions and sharing their thoughts on the topic.

As part of the ongoing programme, all attendees are expected to receive support funds from the foundation.

This initiative demonstrates the Tom Garba Foundation’s commitment to empowering young minds and fostering a culture of leadership and entrepreneurship
