Girl Child Education: Zamfara Agile Project Coordinator Seeks Media Support

The Zamfara Implementation unit of World Bank Intervention project, Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) has appealed for media support in promoting girls child education in the state.

The State’s Project Coordinator, Hajiya Sa’adatu Abdu-Gusau made the appeal in Gusau on Thursday, while hosting the State leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Zamfara Council.

Abdu-Gusau described the passion of working Journalists in the state towards promoting girls education in the state as commendable.

The Coordinator appealed for media support in information dissemination, strategic communications advocacy and stakeholders’ engagements towards success of the project in the state.

“I appreciate this visit, I am using this medium to commended your efforts in promoting girls child education in the state.

“I am using this medium to seek for more support from the media practitioners in the state towards promoting agile project.

“The good people of need to be informed on the objectives of this great project.

“This project meant to ensure enrollment, re-enrollment and completion of schools in addition to empowerment programmes,”.

Abdu-Gusau explained.
The Coordinator urged working journalists in the state to be more innovative, and professional while discharging their constitutional duty.

Earlier, the State NUJ Chairman, Ibrahim Maizare told said the Union’s visit to the Agile project office aimed to seek for more collaboration for the success of the project in the state.

Maizare assured readiness of the union to support the activities of the state implementation unit of the project in the state for better girls education development in the state.
