Kwankwaso Remains Expelled, Gov Yusuf Suspended, North West NNPP Stakeholders Insist

The stakeholders and prominent members of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), from the North West zone of the country insist that the 2023 presidential candidate of the party, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso remains expelled from the party.

This was contained in a statement signed by Alhaji Jafar Tanimu on behalf of NNPP Stakeholders North West, made available to newsmen in Kaduna on Tuesday July 9, 2024.

According to the statement, “the insinuation by one Hashimu Dungurawa, claiming to be Kano State Chairman of our great party the NNPP on Monday July 8 is baseless as Kwankwaso remains expelled and Governor Yusuf of Kano State remains suspended till December,” the statement said.

It further said that the NNPP founder, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam is the bonafide leader of the party, while the party’s National Chairman is Dr Agbo Gilbert Major and National Secretary is Sunday Olaposi Ogini.

Tanimu informed that already, the NNPP National Secretary, Mr Oginni Olaposi on Sunday in a statement in Abuja, informed that all party leaders and elders across the country are expected to attend a meeting billed for this month in Abuja .

“According to our National Secretary, critical issues affecting the 23 years old political party are to be discussed and strong decisions taken to further reinforce the expulsion of Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso , Elder Buba Galadima and the entire national working committee led by Dr Ahmed Ajuji,” he added.

The North West stakeholders therefore, urged the general public and members of their party to ignore the likes of Dungurawa who are bent on causing disaffection in the party
