Over one thousand five hundred, (1500) civil servants in Kaduna State on Monday, have sat for promotion exam for the next phase of their career.
The 2023 Civil Service Computer Based Test Examination, was conducted by the Office of the Head of Service, Kaduna state in collaboration with BIDBEST Consult at the Kaduna State University, ICT center, main campus.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the exam, the Head of Service, Kaduna State, Hajiya Habiba Shekarau said the exercise cuts across the three zones of Kaduna state, aimed to facilitate the promotion of newly recruited workers in the state.
She said that the examination is a mandatory exercise for the new workers, even as they stand to lose a lot of privileges when they are stagnated.
Hajiya Habiba equally noted that the need to promote workers cannot be over emphasized even as she reiterated that no worker would want to be stagnated in the office.
“The examination is mandatory for all the newly recruited workers in the state, cutting across the three zones of Kaduna State.
“It is aimed to facilitate their promotion because they stand to lose a lot in terms of privileges when they are stagnated.
“This underscores the need for each and every worker in the state to present themselves for future opportunities through promotion. No worker would want to be stagnant in his or her career so we decided to come up with this, prioritizing their welfare.
She also disclosed that they had put up adequate preparation to enhance their performance, Meanwhile those who are unable to pass the exams can still reposition themselves as they can always come back to rewrite it.
