Women support groups under the umbrella of ABG Ladies and Troopers have been unveiled as 2023 general election draws nearer with pledge to deliver all polling booths in Kaduna North.
The various women groups scattered in all wards of Kaduna North Local Government Federal Constituency would mobilize grassroot voters for House of Reps candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP),Hon. shehu Bawa ABG and all the party’s flag bearers in February 25 and March 11 polls.
Leader of conglomerate of the various women, Sa’adiya Mamee said election-winning strategies of the group would not be made public for fear of being ‘stolen’ by other camps, pledging to mobilize grassroots voters in Kaduna North for candidates of the party standing in the forthcoming general elections.
“Here, I have a collection of women from all 12 wards of Kaduna North who will ensure they win over 10 voters each and in turn get others from across party lines to cast their votes for candidates of NNPP standing in the forthcoming general elections.
“There are sensitive strategies we can’t make public for the good of our party they must be kept top secret under wrap.
“Our opponents would steal them and use them which may have adverse effects on our plans of winning these upcoming elections with landslides.
“All our candidates are men of integrity, capable of turning the unfortunate situations we’re in today to glad tidings that will put back smiles on faces of the masses, “she assured.
In his speech , governorship candidate of NNPP Senator Sulaiman Hunkuyi expressed delight over that large turnout of women in support of the party, saying the crowd of ladies at the gathering was enough to give the ruling party endless nights of insomnia.
“This is a clear testimony that our people are fed up with deception and subterfuge of APC and PDP which had mismanaged this country earlier.
“Our party, the NNPP has come to stay and will shock people who are seeing it as a baby party.
“I am sure all votes of APC and PDP put together will not outweigh the ones our party would pull in the two general elections ahead, “he declared.
Hon. Shehu Bawa ABG appreciated the women for their support and solidarity, assuring the electorate of excellent representation if elected.
“Your welfare will be my priority and ensure you’re empowered on sustainable livelihoods so that you would be self-reliant and be responsible breadwinners of your families.
“You all can attest to my concern for your welfare and those of your families through my yearly interventions on health, education and economic interests of members of this constituency even out of elective position.
“I assure you your support for me won’t be for granted as I have always done by keeping to my words and promises.
“Go out there to nooks and crannies of all wards with confidence to sell our party to the electorate, you won’t be disappointed at the end of the day, “he assured.
