Northern group under the aegies of Arewa Solidarity Group (ASG), has called on the gubernatorial candidates of the SDP, Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal and PDP, Shuib Yaman Abdullahi to step down for the candidate of the APC, AbdulRasaq AbdulRahaman in Kwara state.
The group explained that the mood and opinion of stakeholders in the state is in favour of Gov. AbdulRasaq.
According to the group in a statement stated that Gov. AbdulRasaq is in a better position to win the contest being a promise keeper.
In the statement signed by the leader of the group, Isa Ahmed and made available to newsmen in Kaduna on Tuesday, ASG stressed that the reality on ground is prompting Kwarans and the supporters of PDP and SDP to dump their party for APC in the state.
” No doubt that the oppositions in the state had lost their supporters in the state to APC, with the fact that the AbdulRasaq led-administration is doing perfectly well to meet the desires of the people of the state through the provision of good governance.
” In the last few days, many supporters of the oppositions had defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). This is an indication that the people of the state had resolved to vote the incumbent governor to continue with his good work he already started,” the group explained.
The group however, noted that the coming election is an avenue for the Kwarans to again show their support for the Governor and encouraged him to do more.
The leader of the group in the statement therefore called on the eligible voters in the state to come out en-mass during the election and return the Governor back to his office come March 2023.
