Saul was pretending to be David’s friend but he was planning to take his life. Anyone planning to take your life will not see you this year. As I move spiritually to your house and place the Blood of Jesus there, every demon following you will not see your address.”

Priests and parishioners of St Mary’s Catholic Church, (The City of God) Samaru Zaria rounded up their twenty-one day prayer program for the year 2022 with a Vigil Mass which was presided over by Rev Fr Alexander Sheyin on Friday, 21st January, 2022. Delivering the homily at that Mass which had ‘all white’ as the dress code, pointing to the inevitable peace that awaits them in 2022, the Parish Priest, Very Rev Fr Augustine Isek announced to the faithful that the Lord will give them rest in 2022 because they have tarried in His Presence.

The priest built his homily on the day’s first reading of 1 Sam. 24:2-20 in which Saul prayed God to reward David for sparing his life and the Gospel of Mk. 3:13-19 in Jesus empowered the chosen twelve with the power to drive out demons, the clergyman commanded every of their customized blessing that are yet to reach them to locate them.

“We started this year with a night vigil and today, we are ending our twenty-one day program with a night vigil.” The priest linked. “Tonight, I want to assure you that the Lord will give you rest this year. By the force of prophetic word, I see the Lord giving you rest – you will rest because you have tarried for twenty-one days. In the first reading, David and Saul were like sworn enemies. But with all the fighting a particular time came when God ‘put Saul in David’s hand’ but he chose not to touch the Lord’s anointed and for the first time, Saul called him ‘my son.’ I want to announce to you tonight that the Lord is making your enemies to be at peace with you.

Devil, the enemy will prefer that you fight but because you have tarried for twenty-one days, peace is coming back to your family. There are people who are living with you but they want to take your blessings. Saul was pretending to be David’s friend but he was planning to take his life. Anyone planning to take your life will not see you this year. As I move spiritually to your house and place the Blood of Jesus there, every demon following you will not see your address.

In the Gospel, Jesus called the disciples to the mountain. You are on the Mountain of God and no demon can touch you on this mountain. There are things in your life that have been programmed by spirit and you don’t understand what you are going through, I see every spirit causing confusion in your life catching fire. I command every sickness from the pit of hell that has been tormenting you to disappear now in Jesus Name.

“I command every blessing that is customized to your destiny that has not reached you to locate you; every crown of prosperity. God did not bless you for you alone, He blessed you for others too. Any time God is blessing you, He is sending you out to bless others. He will make you a Missionary of Blessings this year.”

Communicating that peace is a two-way traffic Fr Isek told them that they are praying that their enemies will stop following them but they are also praying that they stop following other people. He cautioned lifestyles that contradict their identity in Christ and nudged them to move with confidence in the New Year. He equally told them to believe God, announcing that 2022 is their year of celebration and that “we will go back to our weekly Wednesday Adoration until Ash Wednesday when we will begin our forty days Lenten Program.”

The Chief Celebrant, Fr Sheyin expressed how delighted he was to be present at the Mass and noted that the event was not only the end of their twenty-one day prayer but also a day of thanksgiving for the miracles of the program. His words, “St Mary’s has been a ground of spiritual activities and every soul that takes part in this program will testify to this. Difficult situations will be neutralized at this Mass today.” He prayed that the grace of God which preserved the Saint of the day, St Agnes from immorality of her time and sustained her decision to remain a spouse of Jesus may keep the young girls of the present time from whatever wrestles with their chastity.
