KADMAM, MDAs to team up against maternal deaths, others in Kaduna

Kaduna Maternal Accountability Mechanism (KADMAM) and the Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) have completed arrangement to dialogue on universal health coverage together with material death affecting Kaduna state.

KADMAM Co-chairman Alhaji Mustapha Jumare disclosed this during an advocacy visits to heads of various MDAs in the state health Sector on Wednesday and Thursday.

He said the body is so concern about the issue of expenses and planning to have a dialogue with the primary healthcare board, kaduna management authority and kaduna health supplies management agency, to discuss together to identify issues that will require quicker addressing to move the state sector forward “particularly the very weak enrolment of the informal Sector in the state.

“We’ve been working in the health sector for years now. we’ve been following up what’s going on in terms of the benefits of citizens on the health innovations in kaduna state.
“We’re so concern about the issue of how to package expenses and of course the universal health coverage together with material death affecting the state and zones in particular. So we decided and plan to have a dialogue between the primary healthcare board, kaduna management authority and the kaduna health supplies management agency, so that we can discuss together to identify issues that will require quicker addressing and see how we can move forward particularly that there’s very weak enrolment of the informal Sector in kaduna state.
“And we felt this is where the benefits will go more to the citizens of kaduna state. We need to address this one quickly”, he said

Alhaji Jumare who was leader of the advocacy team, in interview, also said the planned visits for the dialogue was finalized with the ministry of health adding, “So we paid advocacy visits to three MDAs, kaduna primary healthcare board.
“We paid visit to the Ministry of health to finalize the arrangement as to when we’re going to have a round table discussion with all these areas so that we can address the issues. So we can move kaduna state forward.
“That’s all we did for this advocacy visit that we need to do”, he stated.
The team, received by Kaduna state health supplies management agency ( KADHSIM) executive secretary, pharm Asiha .T. lsyaku, and her team gave all their support for the panned dialogue after stating their challenges.
