Kada Kings Pepper Kwara Tops Division One Table As First Phase Ends In Kaduna

Kada Kings without losing a single match, garnered the maximum 21 points to top the National Division One Volleyball League table as the phase one ended at the Indoor Sports Hall, Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Saturday May 29, 2021.

In the tension soaked match that drew the curtains on the first phase of the league, Kada Kings displayed superiority by clearing the doubts of Kwara by three sets to one.

The first set ended 27-25 in favour of Kada Kings.

Kada came out stronger in the second set, which ended 25-19 in their favour.

However, hard fighting Kwara came out stronger in the third set, which ended 22-25 in their favour.

Kada Kings wasted no time in wrapping up the victory in the fourth set as they ended it 25-10.

With that result, they topped the league with 21 points.

Kwara are second on the table with 15 points.

Bauchi finished third with 13 points, with SD 10, while Spartans, who also garnered 13 points settled for fourth spot with SD 4.

Katsina finished fifth with nine points, Equity sixth with five points and Sokoto were seventh with four points.

Oyo trailed behind at the right position, with only one point.

In the female category, Kwara took the first spot with three points, while Zamfara settled for second.

The second phase of the league from where those who will be promoted to the Premier League is billed for Bauchi later in the year.
