…Vowed to continue killing until
demand for ransom is met

By DESERT HERALD

This paper can confirm from credible
sources at the Greenfield University,
Kaduna where students including girls
were abducted by suspected Fulani
bandits after killing a staff of the
University that three out of the total
abducted students were killed early
Friday by the bandits “as a warning
for refusing to pay the sum of N800
million” they demanded.

DESERT HERALD was also informed
that the bandits have vowed to kill all
the innocent students if their demands
are not met and warned that any
attempt to secure the release of the
poor students by the used of force will
result to losing the entire students.
This paper learnt that almost all the
abducted students of the Greenfield
University are the children of the
privileged, the elites and as such
government is seriously under pressure
to open discussion on how best to
secure their release.

Already, concerned and devastated
parents of the students have rejected
the policy of the Kaduna State
government not to dialogue with the
bandits and insisted that the
unnecessary stand in view of the
glaring predicament and inability to
secure the lives and properties of the
people will only put the lives of their
children in more danger.

The development of today where three
of the abducted students were said to
have been killed as the consequences
of such insensitive stand and
unnecessary provocative statements
by Governor Nasir El-Rufai will no
doubt put more pressure on both the
state and federal government to act as
fast as possible so as not to endanger
the lives of the other students in
captivity.

So far, DESERT HERALD did not obtain
the identity or sex of the three students
that were killed but efforts are being
made by this paper to get more
information including pictures on this
sad, unfortunate and preventable
development.
More details later.
